Color Splash Tutorial In Photoshop

In this tutorial you will learn how to create color splash using photoshop in 5 simple steps!


Follow this simple steps!


Open Photoshop > file > browse your photo.


Step 1: Duplicate layer by pressing "Ctrl + J"





Step 2: Press  "Ctrl + U" and put the saturation to
"-100" then hit ok. 







Step 3: Create a layer mask.







Step 4: Select brush tool.  (shortcut press "B")
You can choose brush type by moving your muse pointer into the image then right click.

TIP: YOU CAN USE THE SOFT BRUSH WHEN WORKING ON THE EDGES.

Step 5: Make sure the the fore color is black and layer is select (the white layer beside the image layer) Brush the areas of the image that wanted to reveal its original color.

TIP: CHANGE THE FORE COLOR INTO WHITE TO HIDE THE ORIGINAL COLOR. AGAIN, MAKE SURE THAT THE "LAYER MASK" IS SELECTED NOT "THE IMAGE"


 
BRUSH THE LAYER MASK WITH BLACK TO REVEAL ORIGINAL COLOR AND BRUSH WITH WHITE TO SHOW THE DESATURATED IMAGE.
